Simple Pleasures!

Friends have been recommending the movie 'Before Sunrise' for ages now. I just don't appreciate deep romantic movies too much. Don't get me wrong! I love romantic comedies. I just don't like the deep love stories. I see enough of those in real life, I guess.. :) God bless the world!
But, anyway, one bored night when I needed to take a break and watch something.. ANYTHING.. I decided to watch this one. Annnddd, I LOVED it! Its such a beautiful movie. So casual, so fascinating, captures the magic of a special evening. The chemistry between the Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy just doesn't seem like just acting (Not trying to start a scandal here, just a mindless observation.. hehe)! But, thats not the point. I liked the point the movie and its sequel are trying to make. When you are young, you never realize how hard it is to find people you connect with instantaneously. Its only when you grow up that you realize how priceless that was.. Its not that I don't meet such people anymore, its just that people seem suspicious of such connections, almost scared to believe its possible. I wonder why..
Sometimes, its hard to believe there exist people in the world who are still happy doing simple things, who don't need to do anything fancy to be with you, who reminisce about little things like sitting on a bench and laughing about silly stories, who don't really care how much money they make, to whom a coffee with an old friend can be as exciting as a dinner cruise.. But then again, maybe when we are kids, we recognize those magical bonds more easily, coz it doesn't surprise us. Its very normal to be able to talk and laugh for hours together the first time you meet someone.
To old friends, and for some strange reason, an old bench! :)

dekh, my funda is simple: life is essentially simple; we made it complicated by bringing in complications.
here's to hoping that you get someone to come and sit on the old bench with you, and be able to laugh away to glory :)
